Why buy from us
Kode Engine is the commercial arm of Team Stylobike, an active Moto2/Moto3 team. The Kalex bikes we sell come off our own competition machines, so we know each one's history first-hand — no anonymous listing, no reseller markup. Everything is documented and you see it in person before any money changes hands. For the full technical background on the chassis, read our Kalex Moto2 guide.
What to check
Treat it like the engineering purchase it is: ask for the engine hours since the last rebuild, the crash and race history, the season the chassis is from, and — just as important — which spares come with it. A Kalex that comes with bodywork, wheels and gearing is worth far more than the same bike on its own. We document all of it upfront.
Kalex Moto2 FAQ
Can you actually buy a Kalex Moto2?
Yes. Unlike a MotoGP prototype, ex-race Kalex Moto2 bikes do change hands. We sell our own: Kode Engine is the commercial arm of Team Stylobike, an active Moto2/Moto3 team, so the Kalex bikes we list come off our own competition machines. They are track/collection bikes, not road legal.
How much is a Kalex Moto2?
It depends on the engine, the season, the hours, the crash history and the spares included. Complete used Moto2 bikes generally run from about 30,000 to 60,000 euros. Each bike is unique, so we quote it on its own rather than from a price list — message us for the exact figure on the ones we have now.
What is a Kalex Moto2 chassis?
Kalex is the German chassis manufacturer that has dominated Moto2 since roughly 2010. The frame is built around the spec engine and the championship regulations. It is the platform behind most recent Moto2 titles. For the full background see our Kalex Moto2 guide.
Kalex with Triumph or with Honda — what is the difference?
Since 2019 every Moto2 bike, Kalex included, runs the spec 765cc Triumph triple. Earlier Moto2 bikes ran the 600cc Honda CBR600RR-based engine. We have both eras available, so tell us which you are after.
How do I buy a Kalex Moto2 from you?
Message us on WhatsApp about the bike you want. We confirm availability, condition and price, answer any technical question, and arrange a viewing at our base in Castellbisbal (Barcelona). Bikes are viewed and collected in person, not shipped blind.
